Everything the other reviewer said about carrying. I would like to add that unless the breeze just stops blowing you can get some air flowing through these and relieve the heat.
I love these pants in the summer months. Was also surprised at how unobservant most people are. Have been to several "occasions" where shorts were obviously not the thing to wear, but in August? Hell with it, I wore these. Only one or two people noticed and were instantly curious about where they could find them.

These pants are worth the money. Fit was as described and as expected. The "relaxed fit" helps with that. I carry openly. If you want to carry IWB, consider a size larger. If you are already carrying concealed, you know what I mean. Use the Sizing Chart and instructions (link at the bottom of each page). What is really exceptional, is the Airflow. It works. I bought the pants based on the recommendation of Caleb Causey of Lone Star Medics. I saw how they worked for him during two hot Texas days of training. I wore my new pair during two hotter Texas days of training. They are noticeably cooling, lighter, and less restrictive than the jeans I used to wear. The cargo pockets each have an interior pocket suitable for a cell phone or extra mag. Both the cargo pocket flaps and the back pocket flaps are easy to use when getting into and out of the pockets, but are sewn on the sides and can be restrictive for large items. These pockets do not fasten, but my cell phone and extra mag have never even come close to falling out. The side pockets have vertical slits which allow me to better position my every day carry and easily carry two more spare mags than I can in jeans and still have easy access to the contents of the pockets. The Texas weather changed the last time I wore the Vertx pants and the rain came down. My cell phone and extra mag stayed dry. The pants are not water proof - they breathe well - but do provide some protection. And they do dry very quickly, even in the high humidity of central Texas in June. I will be buying two more pants, one in blue and one in gray. While these are not suit pants, they do work for Texas business casual. Label states "Assembled in El Salvador of U.S. Components."
