Yes, there is a compartment that will fit all types of larger cell phones.

What size does the belt/waist strap adjust to?

The adjustable belt strap can stretch out to a full length of 56 inches (142cm). Plus, thanks to the strategic placement of the clip, you can tighten the belt to match the length of your pack and secure it to your backpack!

Is this a waterproof fanny pack?

The bag is water resistant and should protect your stuff in the rain, against sweat, etc. The pockets are also lined to ensure your stuff stays dry. We would not suggest jumping in a pool or anything with the pack. So, as long as your items are not submerged under water, you should be good to go.
